The word “photographer” slips out of my mouth before I even finish hearing the question, “What do you want to do?” It’s always been a part of who I am. I’ve long believed that photographs are some of the most valuable pieces of a family’s history. At home, I probably go a little overboard labeling all our printed photos—because I want my daughter to know the stories behind every smile, every moment.
Becoming a mother myself has deepened my connection to this work. I now truly understand how hard it is to capture those fleeting moments and be in the photo. Someone has to be behind the camera—let me be that person for you.

Sure, we might do a few posed shots, but the real magic happens in the in-between moments: the laughter, the play, the chaos, and the calm. This isn’t the old-school “everyone stand still and smile” kind of photography. We’ve come a long way from that—and trust me, it’s way more fun this way.
